A Swimming Community Built on Tradition and Growth
Founded in 1975, Swim Aurora is a year round competitive swim club and swimming lessons program in Anchorage, Alaska, helping swimmers develop their skills, confidence, and love of the sport.
A Tradition That Began in 1975
Swim Aurora was founded by Coach Cindy Pitta in 1975 with a focus on hard work, community, and strong relationships among swimmers.
Over the years, the club has grown into a swimming community that welcomes athletes at different stages of their development. From swimmers learning the fundamentals to athletes competing at a high level, our goal is to provide an environment where everyone can continue to improve.

At Swim Aurora, swimmers learn the value of consistency, discipline, goal setting, teamwork, and perseverance. We encourage athletes to challenge themselves while supporting the teammates around them.

A Legacy of Competitive Swimming
Swim Aurora has been proud to see its swimmers achieve success at the state and competitive levels.
The club has produced Alaska state record holders, including Leah DeGeorge and Dreamer Kowatch, and has celebrated recent team success at events such as the Alaska Swimming Age Group Championships.
These accomplishments are part of our history, but our focus remains on the continued growth and development of every swimmer who joins our team.
